Wedding Venues - Update

We have spent the last few weekends exploring different locations for our wedding in Vlissingen and we have two main possibilities.

1St up is a party centre called Landlust. It's a lovely place, very classy with superb food, not far away from Vlissingen. It has many plus points; great food, professional staff, well cared for location etc.

2Nd is the grand hotel Arion on the Vlissingen sea front. This place has the advantage that everything is in one location. People can stay at the hotel, walk the boulevard and the ceremony could take place in the townhall or a museum, both of which are within walking distance.

The Dark Tower: The Waste Lands - Stephen King

3rd book in the Dark Tower series, just finished the previous book the other day and now I am onto the next volume. Haven't read more than a few pages so I will pass judgement soon!

First Client Visit: Interpay

I went to visit a client today for the first time. They are called Interpay and have a huge building in Utrecht, not far from the flat. Unfortunately I had to go all the way to Leiden first to get my laptop and hardware and then all the way back to Utrecht!

Interpay deal with electronic funds and they are a huge company here in the Netherlands and I am working on a couple of simulators for them. I have a huge challenge in front of me...

The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three - Stephen King

New book this week, I am reading The Drawing of the Three by Stephen King. The first book was called Gunslinger and I enjoyed the bizarre world which is a hallmark of King's books. I started reading this book (no. 2 of 4 books in a boxed set my mum bought me for mu birthday) a while ago but stopped for some reason or another.

Emperor: The Gates of Rome

With Miki starting a new job and taking the car, I am now taking the train to work everyday and it has been a great opportunity to do some reading.

I'm currently reading Emperor: The Gates of Rome. It follows the rise of Julius Caesar and I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. The author has brought the characters to life wonderfully and I would love to see this book made into a film. I might even finish it by the end of the week is unusual for me as I am generally quite a slow reader!

Wedding Venues

We spent the weekend in Vlissingen looking at possible places to get married. We are probably going to get married in a little village called Verre and then on to somewhere else for the reception.

Miki has also started a new assignment in Arnhem, so we are working in opposite sides of the country now!
